Best Man Speech: 6 Minutes, 2 Callbacks, and It Keeps Writing Jokes That Are Not Mine

This is off topic and I'm sorry 🙏 My brother in law gets married on the 14th and I'm best man. I have written this speech six times now with a model and every version comes back sounding like a LinkedIn post about friendship. Tidy and completely **empty**. Here's the thing, the material is genuinely good! There is a story about him locking himself out of his own car in a Home Depot lot at one in the morning, engine still running, phone on the seat. That should land. What comes back is "a memorable moment that reminded us all to slow down". I gave it bullet points. I gave it the room, the ages, who is sitting where. What I want is a prompt where the jokes stay MINE. It can cut and it can move things around. I just do not want it writing new lines and handing them to me like I wrote them. Six minutes. Two callbacks if I can land them. Reception is at a golf club if that matters.

Problem Instructions

A prompt that edits my material instead of replacing it. It can cut, reorder and tighten as much as it likes, and every joke in the final version has to be one I wrote.

  • Every laugh line traces back to a line in my notes, including the Home Depot one.
  • Six minutes read aloud, with the two callbacks landing where I put them.
